It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Chris Terkla, N1XS.
Chris Christopher H. Terkla, N1XS (ex N1XYS) passed away on July 5th 2022. Chris was born in 1958 and grew up in New England. Chris was a past president of the Yankee Clipper Contest Club and frequently operated at the K1TTT and KB1H contest stations before moving to Texas.
Chris was an active DXer and Contester. After moving to Texas in the early 2000s, Chris operated many contests from AA5NT. Years later, Chris became a regular at W5KFTs station and later participated in many multi-op contests from NR5M, N5YA, and K5QE. Chris was very involved in the DFW Contest Group and was the trustee of the club callsign WC5T.
Chris enjoyed fishing and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
